Michael Bhoola let a lot of these problems accrue over time, and ignored them to his detriment. He never held shares in Pegasus, and went willy nilly into businesses (a radio station at one point) without doing basis budgeting and planning, and then he ignored accounting and legal issues that were staring him in the face for years. If Mart is a snake in the grass, which is probably true, then Michael chose to ignore the most basic principles of running any business. Instead of legally enforcing his rights years ago, he has been drowning his sorrows in beer and Nimeta and claiming "I am just a chef" when confronted with reality. Foolish in the Extreme!

I don't know anything about Tomson, but this is a failure in the system, and that's the problem. The tax authority allows companies to run up high debts, and then the company eventually just files for bankruptcy. This cheats all the other honest taxpayers.

Estonia's "clean" ranking in Eastern Europe says more about about the excessive corruption of others than the lack of corruption here.

Tomson is a fraud and an embezzler who exploited the remarkably porous legislation in this country to steal and cheat his way to a very comfortable life for the best part of a decade. He was the poster boy for "Estonia - Positively Transforming" for God's sake! It was his face on the posters at the airport.

Let's not get away from the story. This is a crook who will get what's coming to him. Keep the subjective Estonians good/bad crap to other pages.
