Fatter people in the Baltics will be accomplished even without McDonald's. Finland got fat in the 80s without a tradition of fast food, just by adopting a "modern" carbohydrate-rich diet. Industrial, microwavable crap and all that. Fast food restaurants only came as a cherry on top, cementing the gains. Reply to the comment answer
