Maybe we should switch from y-o-y comparison over q-o-q (quarterly) comparison to d-o-d (day by day) comparison. Then once a month we can celebrate that the "Economy expanded".

However, still better than nothing. answer

This coming from the poser living in the country whose police use civilians as human shields, where journalists are assassinated on a semi-regular basis, where historical buildings are routinely knocked down in favor of hotels and parking lots, where the rich and/or officials can commit heinous traffic offenses that result in fatalities and the victim is always blamed, etc. Wow, helluva place you live in when you are not claiming to be in Ukraine, Belgium, etc.

Tha main reason of estonian growth in 4th Q was that companies stockpiled alcohol, tobacco and fuel before tax increases.

“The economy is set for a slow recovery as fourth-quarter gains look to be mostly due to stocking, while underlying external and domestic demand remain weak,” said Neil Shearing, senior emerging-markets economist at Capital Economics in London. Shearing expects GDP to fall 2 percent in 2010, compared with the central bank’s October forecast of 1.4 percent growth.

That`t the truth. answer
