Tallink increased passenger number 18% in a year

Tallink Grupp, the largest Baltic ferry company, said it carried 2.1 million passengers, an increase of 17.9 percent, in the fiscal third quarter compared with a year earlier, citing an increase on all key routes.

Passenger volumes between Sweden and Finland rose 14.8 percent in the three months ended May 31, and traffic between Estonia and Finland increased 19.1 percent, the company said.

Estonian-Sweden line increased passenger number 23% and Latvia-Sweden line 37%.

In May, the company carried 694,673 passengers or 5.7% more than a year earlier, while growth in Finland-Sweden line was 2.7% and in Estonian-Finland line 12.5%. 

The company’s cargo volumes rose 14.1 percent.
