Oman Air: we are not interested in Tallinn route

Markku Nokkala, representative of Oman Air, said in Tallinn yesterday that Oman Air was not interested in opening a route to Tallinn.

Estonian ministry of economic affairs has prepared a civil aviation treaty with Oman.

Tallinn Airport has been frantically looking for an Asian airline that could start flying to Tallinn so that Estonian Air could take passengers further to Europe.

According to Nokkala, this is a reasonable plan because airlines need to look further to remain profitable.

Estonia has also signed a civil aviation treaty with Qatar, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Moldova and Georgia.

At present the ministry is holding talks with Egypt.
